The Concept
Extreme Protocol Solutions leverages HBA (Host Bus Adapter) technology to provide our customers with high speed, multi-protocol, cross-platform test solutions. Since HBA's are sold in both the retail and commercial space in such large volumes the quality of both the hardware and drivers tends to be much higher than a custom hardware solution with only hundreds of units in the field.

Multi-Protocol
Because our solutions use standard HBA's as traffic generators we are able to support SCSI, iSCSI, SAS, Fibre Channel, ATA and SATA.

Cross-Platform
Since most HBA Manufacturer's support Windows, Linux, Solaris and other operating systems, we can leverage their driver technology along with our own proprietary technology to bring you the same product on each operating system. This means that no matter which operating system you are using, the user interface is the same, the functionality is the same and test scripts can be written on one OS and run on another.

Disk Preparation
VARs, OEMs and smaller computer manufacturers need to be able to put together multiple systems quickly and painlessly, however the process of installing an OS, appropriate drivers, applications, and then configuring them can take a considerable amount of time. Being able to do an image copy from one previously configured disk to one or more drives simultaneously can save a great deal of time and aggrivation, as well as assuring a consistantly high-quality result.
Extreme Field allows the integrator to configure several source images and easily switch between them depending on the system being put together. Multiple drives are swiftly copied simultaneously.
For those who recondition used hard drives, Extreme Field can do a few quick tests to see if the drive appears reliable, and then can wipe out all previously written data securely to ensure privacy and reduce legal liability.
In addition, Extreme Field can download the latest microcode to your peripherals and perform low-level device formats if required.
This capable software is available stand-alone, installed on a 8 or 16 bay server, or packaged in a mobile data-erasure kit format.
